About smoking.
In 1604, James VI, King of Scotland and England, wrote the pamphlet “Anti-Tobacco”, in which he strongly condemned smoking.
This is one of the first anti-tobacco publications.
The Tsar described smoking as “unpleasant to the eyes, repulsive to the nose, damaging to the brain and dangerous to the lungs.”

In addition to the money spent on buying cigarettes, a system of fines is being developed for smoking on the street!
